Bad Lieutenant performing live at Electric Ballroom, Camden

This shot of Bernard Sumner from Bad Lieutenant featuring former members of New Order was taken tonight at the Electric Ballroom in Camden. Formed in 2007 the band consist of Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham, Jake Evans and Stephen Morris with Blur bassist Alex James guesting on a number of album tracks although he did not perform with the band this time. The band released their debut album 'Never Cry Another Tear' last year.

I was only at the show of four songs as I had to rush off and submit my pictures but the band did play my favourite New Order song 'Regret' three songs in. You can see more images in the gallery.

Gabriella Cilmi performing live at the ICA, London

These shots of Australian singer and songwriter Gabriella Cilmi were taken earlier tonight at the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts). Gabriella wes performing as part of the 'Streets of London Concert for Homelessness' which was helping to raise money and awareness for London's homeless.

Although Gabriella is best known for her debut single 'Sweet About Me' which topped the charts in the UK and saw her nomminated as 'Best International Female Artist' at the Brits in 2009 I found that her persormance was more on the credible side of pop and she had a soulful quality to her voice when performing live. You can see more images from her performance in the gallery.

Two Door Cinema Club performing live at the Garage, London

I look these shots of Two Door Cinema Club earlier tonight at the Garage. The band were playing an intimate sold out show at the Garage's upstairs venue as part of NME Radar Live. The Northern Ireland quartets single 'Undercover Martyn' is getting a fair amout of radio play at the moment so it was good to catch them before they head off on their American tour. The band's debut album 'Tourist History is out now. You can see more images from the night in the gallery.

The Xcerts performing live at Heaven, London

This photo of Jordan from The Xcerts was taken at the band's Fightstar support show in London. The band were main support for the entire tour and this was the final date. The band have now headed off to Long Island where they are to record their second record with Mike Sapone who has produced all of Brand New's records to date.

When trying to enter the photo pit for Fightstar's performance I was told it was "too full"! Definitely one of the strangest comments I have heard from a bouncer at a club show so I did not shoot the band. I have understood it if we were at Glastonbury festival!
